5-6th Design Iteration
Adding new connections to West Philly & North Philly
They have done years of traffic studies to understand the traffic patterns. “organizing the chaos”
Dedicated left hand turn lane into the new transportation center will be added – it will also allow for 2.5 regular buses, or 1 regular & 1 articulated
Roadway will be pulled south to allow for the addition of the dedicated turn lane
Roadway will also be moved toward the current Deke’s location to allow another dedicated bus only lane for stopping on the opposite side
Adding 1 new light and 1 new crosswalk for pedestrians – walk signs timed to lights
Widening the sidewalk on the North side (Deke’s location) to give 6 feet of clearance
Sidewalk on Transportation side to have 14 feet of clearance

Retaining wall is 10-11 feet tall
