About WissNCA
Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association (WissNCA) is a Registered Community Organization (RCO) encompassing the Northwest portion of Philadelphia’s Wissahickon neighborhood. Our boundaries stretch from Main St on the Southwest to Henry Ave on the Northeast, Walnut Lane & Shurs Ln on the Northwest to Hermit St & Ridge Ave to Wissahickon Bike Trail on the Southeast.
WissNCA is devoted to preserving and maintaining our area's historic beauty while allowing the neighborhood to grow and evolve. From community parks to neighborhood events, WissNCA brings our residents together to enjoy everything our fantastic neighborhood offers.
Creating and preserving our community takes thoughtful action on every level. The WissNCA is responsible for planning and communications surrounding community and development projects that will affect our community. By joining the WissNCA, residents in the district can participate in meaningful discussions that could shape the future of our community.
Monthly Meetings
Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association holds public meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 7 pm. Attend our in-person sessions at Pilgrims Church, 3815 Terrace St. We meet to discuss various issues affecting our community, from zoning to local activities and events. We love getting to know our neighbors!
Our Mission
The goals of WissNCA will be the following:
Develop and maintain an informed and productive membership dedicated to serving the interests of the residential and business community.
Promote and pursue the general improvement of social and economic conditions in the community.
Promote and support unity, pride, and good communication in the community.
Maintain a free, open, and democratic Association.
Maintain nonpartisan and nonsectarian policies in all activities of the Association.
